At school for Friday prayers, is it compulsory to do a khutba in Arabic or can we just say something in English? And if in Arabic is it necessary to give in English, as most can’t understand Arabic?

We received your query regarding the Khutbah being in a language other than Arabic.
Our response is as follows:
The Khutbah must be delivered in the Arabic language; it will not be permissible to deliver it in English or any other language.
