Question:
Salam. I separated from my husband on X and have been living at my parents’ home since then. We resumed communication in X and later began meeting in person again. I am seeking guidance regarding whether our nikah is still valid. On X, during an extremely heated text argument, my husband sent: “TALAQ TALAQ TALAQ” Afterward, he said he did not genuinely intend divorce and only wrote it out of extreme anger to scare or hurt me emotionally. On X, during another heated conversation, he sent me a short voice message just saying the word “talaq.” He later said it was an “act” to make me scared. Basically, on both occasions, he swears he was just saying the word (with no intention behind it). Since X, after resuming contact, we have met multiple times and have also been intimate while both believing we are still husband and wife. He maintains that he did not truly intend to divorce me. I have already briefly discussed this matter by phone with an Imam referred to me by the X. Based on the information I provided, he advised that he believes our nikah is still valid inshaAllah because my husband did not clearly issue divorce with direct intention. However, I would still appreciate a formal second opinion and written guidance. I have attached a screenshot for context. My questions are: Did any valid talaq occur? Is our nikah currently still valid? Did reconciliation/intimacy after these incidents affect the ruling? JazakAllah khair.

We have received your query regarding divorce, our response is as follows:
After the issuing of three divorces by your husband, unfortunately your marriage has become completely severed, irrespective of his intention. The only method of getting back together is through the process of Halalah. Refer to Fatwa 198 for more details regarding Halalah. [1]
And Allah Ta’ala knows best
