We have received your query regarding the effect of sins, we apologise for the belated reply, our response is as follows:
We learn from numerous Ayat in the Noble Qur’an and Ahadeeth that sins and vice are a means of drawing the wrath of Almighty Allah Ta’ala. If Allah Ta’ala wishes then this may manifest in calamites and other trials. However, these trials and calamities are in actual fact a blessing in disguise, Almighty Allah Ta’ala sends these trials upon us in order for us to turn back to Allah Ta’ala even more.
We will present a few Ayat from the Noble Qur’an on this matter:
Allâh Ta’ala states:
Corruption (trouble, difficulties, calamities) has appeared (spread) on land and at sea because of the (evil) actions of man and so that Allah may let them taste (the consequences) of some of their (evil) actions, so that they may (again) turn back (and refrain from sin).
(Surah Rum Ayat 41)
In another place, Allah Ta’ala states:
In this way, We let some of the evil doers have authority over others because of that which they earn. (An’am:129)
Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah Ta’ala, but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself. And We have sent you as a Messenger to mankind, and Allah Ta’ala is Sufficient as a Witness.
(Nisa: 79)
And Allah Ta’ala knows best
