Question
As-salamu alykum w rahmt Allah w barakatu. I work as a software developer in a company that develops a taxation system for different countries. Since I cannot be 100% sure if those countries are using the tax money they collect for the benefit of their people or not and some of those countries are ranked as corrupt. Should I stay at that work given that I am working on a program and it is not up to me how it is used? Or should I leave? And if I leave should I resign right away, or wait till I find another job first? Jazakum Allah khair.

It will be permissible for you to work as a software developer in developing the above mentioned system. However, if you are certain that you are assisting in sin then you should search for another occupation and transfer to the new role. [1]
