Removal of Jinn & Black Magic

Question

(#273)

Country : New Zealand

In Islam, we believe in the existence of jinn and black magic. When someone is affected by black magic, they usually go to a sheikh or a Muslim healer who specializes in removing it. But other religions also believe in things like spirits and black magic. For example, in Christianity, people might go to a priest or exorcist who uses the Bible, the cross, or certain prayers to remove the evil presence. My question is: if Islam is the one true religion, then how are people from other religions — like Christians or Hindus — also able to remove black magic or drive away jinn? Does that mean their methods somehow work too, or is there another explanation for why the jinn leave even when Islam isn’t being used?

We have received your query regarding the removal of Jinn, our response is as follows:

We are not aware of any authentic cases where followers of other religions have successfully driven away the Jinn. If a Jinn appears to leave when scriptures from other religions are recited, it may be a deception of the mischievous Jinn intended to mislead a person into believing those texts are true. Alternatively, they may be using the help of Shayateen to remove the effects of black magic.

The previous scriptures have been distorted. Therefore, do not be misled into believing that guidance is found in other scriptures. True guidance is found only in the Noble Qur’an.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best
