Question
Peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings. I have been talking to a Muslim girl from another country for two weeks now for the purpose of marriage and I spoke with her father. I think she is doing well, God willing, as she volunteers in an orphanage and a nursing home. She told me that she has psoriasis, may Allah protect us and you. Question: Is my marriage to her after knowing about the disease and reading about it that it may increase the possibility of contracting other diseases considered a bad or good thing? And will I be rewarded for this if it is a calamity, knowing from the beginning what fatigue this marriage may entail, or will I consider that I have thrown myself into something I cannot bear and for which I will not be rewarded?

We have received your query regarding marriage, our response is as follows:
Dear brother, marriage is a large step in one’s life and it needs to be taken with much thought. The person who you select to be your future spouse will be a decision which will affect your life and also your hereafter. Therefore, first and foremost, you should cut all ties with this girl as any type of contact before marriage is Haraam. Secondly, you should ask your parents to search for an appropriate spouse who is practising on the Deen. As a marriage is not only between two people but it also affects two families. Therefore, make Mashwerah with your parents and make Istikharah, inshallah in this way there will be Barakah.
After adopting the above process and acquiring the Duas of your parents, one should go ahead with the Nikah.
With regards to the sickness which you had mentioned, what we have understood is that she has a skin condition[1]. If you are certain that such a skin condition will not cause any hinderance in your marriage then there is no issue for you to get married to such as person. Inshallah with a correct intention (for example to assist her), such a Nikah may yield even more reward.[2]
And Allah Ta’ala knows best
