Assalamuaykum One Ramadan ago, I was with a girl who was not my wife, and she stimulated my private parts with her hand, from above my pants, which caused me to ejactulate, while i was fasting, it is killing me just thinking about it, it pains me so much. My question is, do I have to do kaffarah ie. (free a slave or fast 60 days or feed 60 poor people?) I am asking this because almost every source says that kaffarah is ONLY for sexual intercourse (penetrative sex, where the penis goes inside the vagina or the anus) while fasting in Ramadan. While other sources say that you have to do kaffarah even if you eat or drank or masturbate. I did not have sex while fasting, I only did what I mentioned above, do I still have to do kaffarah? And is what I have done, not a form of zina, which would constitute kaffarah? Side note, I have already made up the fast sheik assim al hakim says you only have to do kaffara if you broke your fast with sex, which i did not do.

From your answer we can gauge the remorse you are experiencing due to the sin which Shaytan and Nafs had lured you into. Continue to plead to Allah Ta’ala for forgiveness and stay far away from anything that can lead you to such evil.
With regards to your question, Kaffarah will not be necessary, only Qadha will be necessary. [1]

[1] مطلب في حكم الاستمناء بالكف ( قوله : وكذا الاستمناء بالكف ) أي في كونه لا يفسد لكن هذا إذا لم ينزل أما إذا أنزل فعليه القضاء كما سيصرح به وهو المختار

ولو استمنى بكفه فعامة المشايخ أفتوا بفساد الصوم وهو المختار كما في القهستاني وفي الخلاصة لا كفارة عليه ولا يحل هذا الفعل خارج رمضان أيضا إن قصد قضاء الشهوة كذا في الكفاية
