Assalaamu Alaikum wrwb Mufti Sahib. Are Best Bird brand Hand Slaughtered Chicken which are halal certified by FIANZ ok to consume? A FiANZ circular has confirmed there is NO cross contamination between hand slaughtered and machine cut chicken at the processing plants.

We have received your query regarding the hand slaughtered chicken from the above mentioned organisation , our response is as follows:
Members of the Darul Ifta had attempted to visit one of the poultry farms of the above mentioned organisation. However, unfortunately the members of the Darul Ifta were unable to gain access inside the plant. Therefore, the Darul Ifta cannot comment on the procedure utilised and also on the status of such poultry.
However, despite the above, the Darul Ifta has reservations regarding the status of such poultry due to the conflicting reports it has received regarding multiple issues. Therefore, the Darul Ifta presently holds the view of caution.
