Assalamu alaikum brother in Islam. I hope you are well. I am a revert to Islam and I want to know if as a revert to Islam, is it compulsory to have circumcision done as an adult or if it is a sin not to do it. Jazakallah khayr

We have received your query regarding circumcision, we apologise for the belated reply, our response is as follows:
Circumcision is from the signs and peculiarities of Islam and it is a special Islamic sign that is necessary in a new Muslim. In it is a proof also of his truthfulness and steadfastness. And it is an aid to remain steadfast on the religion of Islam. That is why the circumcision of a new Muslim is necessary.
Yes, if the new Muslim is very weak and feeble that he cannot bear the circumcision then it does not remain necessary. [1]
