Car Dealership

(#215)

Question

Salam, i am a student, my dad is a businessman and he runs a car dealership and is also involved in charity not sure if I’m supposed to say. I work with him on holidays and part-time on weekends, He offered to open my car dealership to expand the business, we have finance available to help customer buy their car from us as without finance company you can barely make money on selling cars therefore we use finance companies to sell our cars in Newzealand, I also would want to open a dealership taking this opportunity but don’t want to be committing a major sin. I have a big dream of opening on inshallah, please help me out.

Allah Ta’ala mentions in the Noble Qur’an:

“Oh you who believe! Fear Allah and give up whatever interest remains if you are true believers! If you do not (avoid interest), then prepare for war with Allah and His Rasool!” (Surah 2:278-279)

“And do not assist each other in sin and transgression” (Surah 6:2)
